Producer Pete gave me to publish these provisional specs:
Minimum configuration:
800 Mhz CPU
DirectX 9.0b
GeForce2MX 16MB or equivalent DirectX9 compatible video card
128 Megabytes of RAM
1400MB (approx.) free hard drive space (additional space required for Windows swap-file and DirectX 9.0b installation)
16x CD-ROM drive
DirectX 9.0b Compatible Sound Card
MS compatible mouse
Keyboard
Recommended Specs:
1.5 Ghz CPU
DirectX 9.0b
GeForce3 64MB or equivalent DirectX9 compatible video card
256 Megabytes of RAM
1400MB (approx.) free hard drive space(additional space required for Windows swap-file and DirectX 9.0b installation)
24x CD-ROM drive
DirectX 9.0b Compatible Sound Card
MS compatible mouse (with wheel)

I think maybe b/c they aren't focusing on making super uber realistic graphics the nececciites are lower, I think.

From the beginning it has been the goal of Elixir to create a fun game. Graphics were not the highest priority, though they did count on the Totality engine to render some beautiful graphics. It turns out that it did AND the game still maintains low specs. Much kudos goes to Elixir.

I'm a bit over the recommended specs (1.7 Ghz, 512 RAM and 128 vid. card) so that's good to know

There is a big difference between the various levels of detail you can use in the game, so you may have to tweak to get the best level.

Ofcourse, but at least it will run decently. I generally prefer performance over eye-candy anyway.

I only have 856 MHz. I think I'm in the need for an update. 
I'm buying or building a new computer (a fast one) in early September, so I will make the release of good ol' Rome: Total War and Evil Genius. I babysit at my sister's house, and her husband is a network engineer; so, he has seven computers (five of which are hooked up) and three servers. The computer I'm on now (my brother-in-law's fastest) is far above the recommended specs. So, I guess I'll be playing the demos for Evil Genius, Rome: Total War, and Doom 3 here. At least I get to play them on a pretty fast rig.
